Hello God

Hello God (Korean: 안녕하세요 하느님; RR: Annyeonghaseyo Haneunim) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from January 9 to February 28, 2006. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Haru (played by Yoo Keon), a young man with an intellectual disability who possesses an IQ of 65 and the emotional maturity of a seven-year-old. Abandoned by his mother at a bus stop, Haru harbors a dream of becoming a bus driver to find her. His life changes when he meets Eun-hye (Kim Ok-bin), a swindler who poses as a teacher for students with intellectual disabilities to evade law enforcement. Seeking to win her affection, Haru undergoes a high-risk experimental surgery performed by a neurosurgeon named Dong-jae (Lee Jong-hyuk). The procedure is successful, resulting in Haru gaining a genius-level IQ of 180. Despite his newfound intelligence, wealth, and fame, Haru discovers that these changes do not guarantee personal happiness.
