Hellbound (Season 2)
Hellbound (Season 2), released in South Korea as Jiok Season 2, is a dark fantasy drama series directed by Yeon Sang-Ho. It serves as the second season to the 2021 series Hellbound. The show is based on the webcomic Jiok, written by Yeon Sang-Ho and illustrated by Choi Kyu-Seok, which began serialization in 2019.
Plot
The narrative of the second season picks up following the events of the first, centering on the unexpected resurrection of characters Jung Jin-Su and Park Jung-Ja. Min Hey-Jin continues her efforts to challenge the influence of the New Truth Society and the extremist group known as The Arrowheads. The conflict expands with the emergence of Sodo, a secret organization that opposes the New Truth Society and is led by a mysterious figure.
Production
The series was released on Netflix on October 25, 2024, and consists of six episodes. A notable change in the cast involves the character Jung Jin-Su; actor Kim Sung-Cheol replaced Yoo Ah-In, who portrayed the character in the first season.
