Heaven's Promise (South Korean Television Series)
Heaven's Promise (Korean: 천상의 약속; RR: Cheonsangui Yaksok) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from February 1 to June 24, 2016. The series consists of 102 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday-Friday 19:50 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Lee Na-Yeon (played by Lee Yu-Ri), a devoted woman who supports her boyfriend, Kang Tae-Joon (Seo Jun-Young). Despite their shared history and having a daughter together, Tae-Joon abandons Na-Yeon to pursue personal success and a relationship with Jang Se-Jin (Park Ha-Na), the granddaughter of the president of the Baekdoo Company.
Na-Yeon's twin sister, Baek Do-Hee (also played by Lee Yu-Ri), was separated from her at birth and raised by a wealthy family. Working as a magazine reporter, Do-Hee investigates Tae-Joon's background and discovers her connection to Na-Yeon. Following a tragic fire at a psychiatric hospital where Na-Yeon was being held, Do-Hee dies, leading Na-Yeon to assume her sister's identity to seek justice.
Production
The series was directed by Jeon Woo-Sung, with a screenplay written by Kim Yeon-Shin and Heo In-Moo. The first script reading for the production occurred on January 1, 2016, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The show occupied the KBS2 time slot previously held by All is Well and was succeeded by Secrets of Women on June 27, 2016.

At the 2016 KBS Drama Awards, Lee Yu-Ri received the award for Excellent Actress in a daily drama for her performance in the series.
