Hearty Paws (2006 Film)

Hearty Paws (Korean: 마음이; RR: Maeumee) is a 2006 South Korean drama film directed by Park Eun-hyung and Oh Dal-kyun. The film follows the story of two young siblings and their bond with a loyal dog.

Plot

The story centers on 11-year-old Chan-yi and his younger sister, So-yi. After being abandoned by their mother, the siblings struggle to survive on their own. Seeking to provide a birthday gift for his sister, Chan-yi takes a puppy from a kennel. The dog, named Maeumee, becomes a central part of their small family, providing companionship and loyalty until a tragic accident alters their lives.
