Head Over Heels (South Korean Drama)

Head Over Heels (Korean: 견우와 선녀; RR: Gyeonwoowa Sunnyeo) is a South Korean television series that aired on tvN from June 23 to July 29, 2025. The fantasy-romance drama consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 20:50 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Park Sung-A (played by Cho Yi-Hyun), a high school student who leads a double life as a shaman known as Fairy Cheonji. To protect her identity, she conceals her face while performing shamanistic duties, providing guidance to clients regarding their futures and personal struggles. Her life changes when Bae Gyeon-Woo (played by Choo Young-Woo) and his mother visit her shrine. Upon meeting him, Sung-A realizes that Gyeon-Woo is destined to die in the near future. When Gyeon-Woo transfers to her high school the following day, Sung-A resolves to intervene and save him from his fated demise.

Production

The series is based on the webcomic Gyeonwoowa Sunnyeo, written by An Soo-Min, which was serialized on Naver from February 3, 2020, to January 23, 2023. The television adaptation was directed by Kim Yong-Wan with a screenplay by Yang Ji-Hun.
