Hard Hit (2021 Film)

Hard Hit (Korean: 발신제한; RR: Balshinjehan) is a 2021 South Korean thriller film directed by Kim Chang-Ju. The film centers on a bank manager who finds himself trapped in a life-threatening situation while driving his children to school.

Plot

Sung-Kyu (played by Jo Woo-Jin) is a bank branch manager whose routine morning commute takes a terrifying turn. After receiving an anonymous phone call from an unknown caller, he is warned that a bomb has been planted in his vehicle. The caller informs him that if he or his children attempt to exit the car, the device will detonate. As the situation escalates, Sung-Kyu must navigate the demands of the caller while attempting to ensure the safety of his family.

Production

The film was produced in South Korea and distributed by CJ Entertainment. Principal photography for the project commenced on February 6, 2020, and concluded on May 4, 2020.
