Happy Together (2018 South Korean Film)
Happy Together (Korean: 해피 투게더; RR: Haepi Tugyedeo) is a 2018 South Korean musical drama film directed by Kim Jung-Hwan. The film explores the lives of two saxophonists whose paths cross, centering on themes of family, sacrifice, and musical ambition.
Plot
The story follows Kang Suk-Jin (Park Sung-Woong), a single father who has set aside his own aspirations as a musician to focus on raising his young son, Ha-Neul (Choi Ro-Woon). Ha-Neul displays a natural talent for the saxophone. Suk-Jin's life takes a turn when he encounters Park Young-Gul (Song Sae-Byeok), another saxophonist, while working a gig at a nightclub. Upon discovering Ha-Neul's musical ability, Young-Gul sees a potential opportunity for financial gain, leading to a complex dynamic between the characters.
Production
The film was produced by Jun Joo-Hyun and written by Lee Chang-Yeol. Principal photography for the movie commenced on October 14, 2017, and concluded on December 8, 2017. The film was distributed by Semicolon Studio and released in South Korea on November 15, 2018.
