Happy Murderer (Korean: 반가운 살인자; RR: Bangawoon Salinja) is a 2010 South Korean comedy-thriller film directed by Kim Dong-Wook. The film explores the rivalry between a struggling police detective and an unemployed man as they both attempt to track down a serial killer terrorizing their neighborhood.

Plot
The story follows Jeong-Min, a rookie detective facing professional and personal challenges. His superiors are dissatisfied with his performance, and he secretly studies for a public service examination. Tensions in his neighborhood escalate due to an active serial killer, leading local residents to organize protests against the police for their inability to solve the case. Complicating matters, Jeong-Min's mother leads these protests, driven by concerns over declining property values.
Amidst this chaos, Young-Suk, an unemployed man who had previously gone missing, returns to the neighborhood. Young-Suk begins arriving at crime scenes before the police, displaying an amateur interest in detective work. This leads to a competitive rivalry between the professional officer, Jeong-Min, and the civilian, Young-Suk, as both men race to identify and capture the perpetrator.
