Hanazakarino Kimitachihe (2007 TV Series)

Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, often referred to as Hana-Kimi, is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV in 2007. The series, which consists of 12 episodes, was directed by Hidetomo Matsuda with a screenplay by Shogo Muto.

Plot

The story follows Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese-American track athlete who transfers from a school in California to Osaka High School in Japan. The school is an all-male institution, forcing Mizuki to disguise herself as a boy to attend. Her primary motivation is to get closer to Izumi Sano, a high jump athlete who attends the school and whom she considers her hero. Upon enrolling, Mizuki becomes roommates with Sano. As the series progresses, Sano discovers Mizuki's true identity, while their classmate Shuichi Nakatsu develops feelings for Mizuki without realizing she is a girl.
