Han Dong-Hwa - South Korean Television Director

Han Dong-Hwa (Korean: 한동화) is a South Korean television director known for his work across various cable networks and streaming platforms.

Career and Major Works

Han has built a prominent career directing South Korean television drama series. His directorial credits span major networks and streaming services including OCN, tvN, Disney+, and MBC.

In 2016, Han directed the crime comedy-drama series Squad 38, broadcast on OCN. He followed this with another OCN project, Bad Guys: Vile City, which aired from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, he directed the tvN office comedy-drama Miss Lee.

Han's subsequent projects include the 2021 tvN drama Navillera, which follows the relationship between an aspiring young ballet dancer and a retired mail delivery worker who takes up ballet at the age of seventy. He subsequently directed both seasons of the Disney+ crime thriller series Shadow Detective, releasing the first season in 2022 and the second season in 2023. His later projects include the MBC drama series Fifties Professionals, scheduled for 2026.
