Half (2016 South Korean Film)
Half (Korean: 하프; RR: Hapeu) is a 2016 South Korean drama film written and directed by Kim Se-Yeon. The film examines the life of a transgender woman named Min-A, who faces significant legal and social challenges after a violent incident.

Plot
Min-A, a transgender woman working at a club, strives to achieve her personal dreams. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she attempts to intervene in an attack on a co-worker. During the confrontation, she kills a man. Following the incident, Min-A asserts her innocence, but she faces intense public scrutiny and societal prejudice throughout the subsequent legal proceedings.
Production and Release
The film was produced by Ahn Hee-Chul and Jo Chang-Ho, with cinematography by Kim Hyun-Tae. It had its world premiere at the 19th Busan International Film Festival in October 2014 as part of the 'Korean Cinema Today: Panorama' section. The film was later screened at the 39th Montreal World Film Festival in 2015 before its general release in South Korea on January 21, 2016.
