Hahaha (2010 film)
Hahaha (Korean: 하하하) is a 2010 South Korean comedy-drama film written and directed by Hong Sang-soo. It marked the director's 10th feature-length film. The story follows two acquaintances who meet in the coastal city of Tongyeong and share stories about their recent travels.

Plot
The film centers on Jo Moon-kyeong (Kim Sang-kyung), a film director preparing to immigrate to Canada, and his acquaintance, film critic Bang Jong-sik (Yu Jun-sang). During a meeting in the seaside town of Tongyeong, the two men share drinks and recount their recent experiences in the area. Their narratives intertwine as they discuss their encounters with local residents, including an amateur poet and cultural guide named Yang Seong-wook (Moon So-ri) and a young woman named No Jung-hwa (Kim Gyu-ri).


Production
Principal photography for Hahaha began on July 2, 2009, and concluded by the end of that month. The film was shot on location in Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. It was produced by Jeonwonsa Film and distributed by Sponge Ent.

Reception
Hahaha premiered at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in May 2010, where it was screened in the Un Certain Regard section. Following its festival debut, the film was screened at numerous international events, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, the Pusan International Film Festival, and the San Francisco International Film Festival.
