Haero (2012 Film)
Haero (Korean: 해로), released internationally as Hand in Hand, is a 2012 South Korean drama film directed by Choi Jong-Tae. The film explores themes of aging, long-term marriage, and the rediscovery of affection in the later stages of life.

Plot
The story follows Min-Ho (played by Joo Hyun) and Hee-Jung (played by Ye Soo-Jung), a couple who have been married for over 40 years. Their relationship has settled into a routine, characterized by the monotony of daily life. The dynamic shifts when Min-Ho suffers a heart attack. Following his recovery, he becomes acutely aware of his mortality and begins to worry about his wife's future after his eventual passing. In an effort to prepare for this, he keeps his health condition secret while attempting to express his love through small gestures, leading to a renewed emotional connection between the couple.
Production
The film was directed by Choi Jong-Tae, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Tauno Yliruus. Production took place from December 24, 2010, to March 6, 2011. The film was distributed by Kino Eyes and premiered in South Korea on March 22, 2012.

Reception and Awards
