Gyeongseong Creature
Gyeongseong Creature is a South Korean television series set in 1945 during the Japanese colonial period in Gyeongseong, the former name for Seoul. The series blends historical drama with thriller and creature-feature elements.
Plot
The story follows Jang Tae-Sang, a wealthy and influential figure in the Bukchon area of Gyeongseong known for his keen insight and ability to navigate complex social situations. His life intersects with Yoon Chae-Ok, a skilled investigator who specializes in locating missing persons. Having spent her childhood traveling between Manchuria and Shanghai, Chae-Ok possesses survival skills including marksmanship and combat expertise. She arrives in Gyeongseong to search for her long-lost mother. Together, Tae-Sang and Chae-Ok investigate a series of mysterious disappearances, leading them to uncover a dark reality hidden within the city.

Production and Release
Directed by Jung Dong-Yoon and written by Kang Eun-Kyung, the series was produced for Netflix. The first season consists of 10 episodes, released in two parts: the first seven episodes premiered on December 22, 2023, followed by the final three episodes on January 5, 2024.
