Gu Am Heo Joon (2013 TV Series)
Gu Am Heo Joon (Hangul: 구암 허준) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from March 18 to September 27, 2013. The series consists of 135 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday to Friday 20:50 time slot. It serves as a remake of the 1999–2000 MBC drama series Heo Joon.

Plot
The drama dramatizes the life of the historical figure Heo Joon, a renowned physician during the Joseon Dynasty. The narrative follows his journey from his early life to his eventual service as the royal physician to King Seonjo. A central focus of the story is his dedication to the study of traditional medicine, which culminated in the compilation of the Donguibogam, a seminal medical textbook.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Keun-Hong and written by Choi Wan-Kyu. It replaced the series Mom is Acting Up in its time slot and was succeeded by The King's Daughter, Soo Baek-Hyang on September 30, 2013. A notable aspect of the production is the casting of lead actor Kim Ju-Hyeok, whose father, Kim Mu-Saeng, had previously portrayed the same historical figure in the 1975 MBC drama Tenacity.
