Golden Pouch (Korean: 황금주머니; RR: Hwanggeumjoomeoni) is a South Korean television series that aired on the MBC network. The drama ran for 122 episodes from November 14, 2016, to June 1, 2017, occupying the weekday 20:55 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Han Suk-Hoon, played by Jin Yi-Han, a man who was adopted by a family in the United States during his childhood. After returning to South Korea as an adult, he establishes a career as a surgeon. However, he eventually faces significant personal and professional setbacks, leading him to pursue a new path as a dumpling master.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Dae-Jin and Kim Hee-Won, with the screenplay written by Lee Hye-Seon. The production process began with the first script reading in late August 2016. The show followed Working Mom, House Daddy in the MBC schedule and was succeeded by All Kinds of Daughters-in-Law on June 5, 2017.

Awards

At the 2017 MBC Drama Awards, held on December 30, 2017, Ahn Nae-Sang received the award for Best Supporting Actor in a daily drama for his performance in the series.
