Going by the Book (2007 Film)
Going by the Book (Korean: 바르게 살자; RR: Bareuge salja) is a 2007 South Korean comedy film directed by Ra Hee-Chan. The screenplay was written by Jang Jin, Lee Gyu-Bok, and Hiroshi Saito. The film was released in South Korea on October 18, 2007.

Plot
Following a series of bank robberies, the public demands decisive action from the local police. To appease the public and further his own career, the newly appointed police chief organizes a bank robbery drill. He selects Jung Do-man, a traffic officer known for his rigid adherence to rules and principles, to play the role of the lead robber. Do-man takes his assignment with extreme seriousness, meticulously planning the "robbery" to ensure the drill is executed perfectly, which leads to unexpected complications for the police force.

Production and Release
The film was produced by Kim Mi-Hwa and Jang Jin with a production budget of approximately US$3.5 million. It has a runtime of 102 minutes. Following its domestic release, the film was screened at several international film festivals, including the 10th Udine Far East Film Festival in 2008 and the 12th Fantasia Film Festival, where it held its North American premiere.
