God of War (2012 South Korean TV Series)

God of War (Korean: 무신; RR: Mushin) is a South Korean historical television drama that aired on the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) network. The series, which consists of 56 episodes, was broadcast from February 11, 2012, to September 15, 2012, occupying the Saturday and Sunday 20:40 time slot.

Plot

The series is set during the Goryeo Dynasty and follows the life of Kim In-Joon, a historical figure who rose from the status of a slave to become one of the most influential military leaders in the nation. The narrative depicts his ascent to power and his role in governing the country for approximately 60 years, effectively holding authority during the era of the military regime.

Production

The drama was directed by Kim Jin-Min and Kim Heung-Dong, with a screenplay written by Lee Hwan-Kyung. The production was overseen by producer Kim Jung-Ho. The series replaced the drama A Thousand Kisses in its time slot and was subsequently followed by Rascal Sons on September 22, 2012.

Cast

The series features an ensemble cast including Kim Ju-Hyeok as the protagonist Kim In-Joon. Other notable cast members include Kim Gyu-Ri as Choi Song-Yi, Jung Bo-Suk as Choi Woo, Park Sang-Min as Choi Yang-Baek, and Joo Hyun as Choi Choong-Hun.
