Gloria is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from July 31, 2010, to January 30, 2011. The series consists of 50 episodes and was broadcast during the weekend time slot.
Plot
The narrative centers on Na Jin-jin, a woman navigating difficult life circumstances while caring for her older sister, Na Jin-joo, who has the mental capacity of a young child. Jin-jin aspires to become a singer, a dream sparked after an impromptu performance of the song "Gloria" at a nightclub. Her life intersects with Ha Dong-a, a loyal and kind-hearted man who is raising his young nephew, and Lee Kanna-suk, a man from a wealthy chaebol family who struggles with emotional detachment until he encounters Jin-jin.
Production
The series was directed by Kim Min-sik and Kim Kyung-hee, with the screenplay written by Jung Ji-woo. Production activities, including script readings, began in June 2010. The show replaced the drama Like a Dandelion in the MBC Saturday and Sunday evening programming block.
