Giwaku (2009 TV Movie)
Giwaku (Japanese: 疑惑, lit. "Suspicion") is a 2009 Japanese television film produced and broadcast by TV Asahi. The production is based on the novel of the same name by the acclaimed author Seicho Matsumoto. The film premiered on January 24, 2009, airing in a prime-time slot from 21:00 to 23:21.

Plot
The narrative centers on the death of a man, which leads to the investigation of his wife, Kumako Shirakawa. Circumstantial evidence, including a significant insurance policy and the existence of a lover with criminal ties, points toward her culpability. The legal proceedings take a pivotal turn when a female lawyer is appointed to represent her, leading to an investigation that seeks to uncover the truth behind the incident.

The film was directed by Meiji Fujita, with a screenplay adapted by Yo Takeyama. It is one of several screen adaptations of Seicho Matsumoto's original literary work, most notably following the 1982 film adaptation also titled Giwaku.
