Ghost Sweepers (2012 Film)
Ghost Sweepers (Korean: 점쟁이들; RR: Jeomjaengyideul) is a 2012 South Korean film that blends elements of comedy, horror, and the supernatural. Directed by Shin Jung-Won, the film centers on a group of shamans who gather in a remote village to confront a malevolent spirit.

Plot
The story follows a group of the nation's most skilled shamans who are summoned to a village to perform an exorcism against a notorious evil spirit. A news reporter named Chan-Young (played by Gang Ye-Won) is assigned to document the event. As the exorcism commences, the spirit launches a series of attacks, causing most of the assembled shamans to abandon the mission. Only five shamans, led by the talented Suk-Hyun (Lee Je-Hoon), remain alongside the reporter. Together, they investigate the dark history of the village and prepare for a final confrontation with the entity.

Production
The film was directed by Shin Jung-Won with a screenplay written by Kwon Sung-Whee. Principal photography for the production began on October 29, 2011, and concluded on February 18, 2012. The film was released in South Korea on October 3, 2012.

Film Festivals
Ghost Sweepers was screened at several international film festivals, including the 31st Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April 2013, where it was part of the International Competition. It was also presented at the 15th Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy later that same month.
