Geugye Doel Nom
Geugye Doel Nom (Korean: 크게 될 놈), released internationally as Guy With Potential For Success, is a 2019 South Korean drama film directed by Kang Ji-Eun. The film explores themes of maternal love, sacrifice, and redemption.

Plot
The story follows Soon-Ok (Kim Hae-Sook), a mother living on an island in Jeolla Province with her son, Ki-Kang (Son Ho-Jun), and daughter, Ki-Soon (Nam Bo-Ra). Driven by a desire to achieve success, Ki-Kang leaves his home for Seoul. However, his life takes a tragic turn as he becomes involved in criminal activities, eventually leading to a death sentence. In a desperate attempt to save her son, the illiterate Soon-Ok learns to write so that she can draft a petition on his behalf.
