Gentleman (2022 South Korean Film)
Gentleman (Korean: 젠틀맨) is a 2022 South Korean crime film written and directed by Kim Kyoung-Won. The film follows the story of a private investigator who finds himself entangled in a complex criminal conspiracy after being framed for a kidnapping.

Plot
Ji Hyun-Soo (played by Ju Ji-Hoon) operates a private detective agency. During a routine assignment to locate a missing pet, he visits a vacation cottage where he is attacked and rendered unconscious. Upon waking, he discovers his client has vanished and that he is being framed for kidnapping. While in police custody, he is involved in a car accident and is mistakenly identified as a prosecutor. Seizing the opportunity to clear his name and locate his missing client, he assumes the role of a prosecutor. His investigation leads him to cross paths with prosecutor Kim Hwa-Jin (Choi Sung-Eun) and eventually uncovers the illicit activities of Kwon Do-Hun (Park Sung-Woong), the CEO of a prominent law firm.
Production
The film was directed and written by Kim Kyoung-Won, with production overseen by Yoo Hong-Joon. Principal photography commenced on August 20, 2021, and concluded on December 5, 2021. The role of the lead female character was initially offered to Han So-Hee; however, she withdrew from the project prior to the start of filming due to health concerns, specifically fatigue, as advised by her medical team.



Release
Gentleman was released in South Korea on December 28, 2022, through the over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform Wavve.
