Gangneung (2021 Film)

Gangneung (Korean: 강릉), also known internationally by the title Tomb of the River, is a 2021 South Korean crime action film. The movie was written and directed by Yoon Young-Bin and produced by Lee Chan-Nam. It was released in South Korea on November 10, 2021, with a runtime of 119 minutes.

Plot

The story centers on Kim Gil-Seok (played by Yu Oh-Seong), the leader of the most prominent criminal organization in the city of Gangneung. Gil-Seok is characterized by his commitment to maintaining peace and loyalty within his territory. The narrative conflict arises with the arrival of Lee Min-Seok (Jang Hyuk), an ambitious figure who seeks to seize control of the city's largest resort, threatening the established order maintained by Gil-Seok.
