Gaksital, widely known internationally as Bridal Mask, is a South Korean television drama series broadcast on the KBS2 network. Directed by Yun Seong-Sik and Cha Young-Hoon, with scripts written by Yoo Hyun-Mi, the series adapts the comic of the same name created by Huh Young-Man, which was first published in 1974. The dramatic production ran for 28 episodes from May 30 to September 6, 2012, airing in the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot.

Production and Background
The television adaptation is based on Huh Young-Man's 1974 comic book series. Production on the drama involved a budget of approximately 10 billion won, equivalent to roughly $9 million USD. The initial script reading took place at the KBS Annex Building in Seoul on February 3, 2012, bringing together approximately 40 cast members, including lead actors Joo Won, Jin Se-Yun, Park Gi-Woong, and Han Chae-Ah.
During its original broadcast schedule in the summer of 2012, the airing of episode 19 was rescheduled from Thursday, August 2, 2012, to Wednesday, August 8, 2012, due to broadcasting coverage of the London Olympics. The series occupied the KBS2 Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot following The Equator Man and preceding Nice Guy in September 2012.
