Gachi Baka! (Japanese TV Drama)

Gachi Baka! (Japanese: ガチバカ!) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) network in 2006. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast from January 19 to March 23, 2006.

Plot

The story follows Tetta Gondo, a former professional boxer who begins a new career as a high school teacher at Kaki-no-ki-zaka High School. The school, facing financial difficulties, aims to improve its academic standing and revitalize its baseball program. Gondo is assigned to a class of students who are struggling academically and lack motivation. Throughout the series, Gondo employs unconventional and passionate teaching methods to encourage his students, often confronting parents and school administration to advocate for their development.

The series was directed by Ayato Matsuda, Kentaro Takemura, Takeyoshi Yamamoto, and Kanji Takenoshita. The screenplay was written by Shizuka Ouki and Ichiro Kusuno.
