Formidable Rivals
Formidable Rivals (Korean: 강적들; RR: Kangcheok deul) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from April 14 to June 3, 2008. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Cha Yeong-Jin, a woman determined to succeed as a bodyguard at the Blue House, the executive office and official residence of the President of South Korea. Despite her difficult family background, she strives to establish herself in a male-dominated field. At the Blue House, she encounters Yu Kwan-Pil, a colleague who becomes her professional rival. The two are eventually tasked with protecting the President's son, Suho, a character whose intelligence and volatile nature challenge their professional capabilities.

Production
The series was directed by Han Joon-Seo and written by Kang Eun-Kyung. It replaced Single Daddy in Love in its time slot and was subsequently replaced by Chilwu, the Mighty on June 17, 2008.
