Forest (2020 South Korean Television Series)

Forest is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from January 29 to March 19, 2020. The drama consists of 32 episodes and was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot. The production was completed prior to its broadcast, with filming concluding in August 2019.

Plot

The story follows Kang San-hyeok (Park Hae-jin), a member of the 119 special rescue team who struggles with fragmented childhood memories. He crosses paths with Jung Young-jae (Jo Bo-ah), an enthusiastic surgical resident. The two are drawn to a mysterious forest where they are forced to live together. As they navigate their environment, they begin to uncover secrets regarding their own pasts and the nature of the forest itself.

Production

The series was directed by Oh Jong-rok and written by Lee Sun-young. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Secret. It replaced the drama Woman of 9.9 Billion in its time slot and was followed by the series Welcome.
