Foolish Mom (South Korean TV Series)

Foolish Mom (Korean: 바보엄마; RR: Babo Eomma) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from March 17 to May 20, 2012. The series, which consists of 20 episodes, was broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays at 22:00. It is based on the 2005 novel Babo Umma by Choi Yoo-Kyung.

Plot

The series centers on the complex relationships and eventual reconciliation between a mother and her daughter. The mother, Kim Sun-Young, is portrayed as having intellectual disabilities, which creates a significant emotional divide between her and her daughter, Kim Young-Joo. Young-Joo, a successful fashion magazine editor, struggles to balance her professional life with the challenges of her personal life, including a failing marriage to law professor Park Jung-Do and the demands of raising her daughter, Dat-Byeol.
