The series, which consists of 50 episodes, was broadcast during the Saturday and Sunday 21:45 time slot. It was produced by the regional network Ulsan MBC, with filming taking place in Ulsan, South Korea.

Plot

The narrative centers on the internal conflicts and power struggles within a prominent chaebol family. Kim Min-Jae, the son of a wealthy family, is expected to succeed in the family business, though he harbors a personal interest in painting. His life becomes intertwined with Park In-Gi, a popular actress known professionally as Baek In-Gi. Their marriage, sparked by a public scandal, serves as a catalyst for further tension, particularly in her volatile relationship with her mother-in-law, Yun Na-Young, who is driven by an obsession with wealth and status.

Production

The series was directed by Baek Ho-Min and written by Jung Ha-Yeon. During its development, the drama was known by the working title Yeojaneun Ilsaenge Dan Han Bun Saranghanda (A Woman Only Loves Once in a Lifetime). Filming for the production commenced in September 2010. The series replaced Kim Su-Ro, The Iron King in its time slot and was succeeded by Can You Hear My Heart.

A notable aspect of the production was the casting of Yoo Seung-Ho, who was 17 years old at the time of filming. The role of Kim Min-Jae marked his first portrayal of an adult character, depicting a 21-year-old married man.
