Five Is Too Many (Korean: 다섯은 너무 많아; RR: Daseoseun neomu manha) is a 2005 South Korean drama film written and directed by Ahn Seul-Gi. The film explores the unconventional circumstances that bring a group of five individuals together.

Plot

The narrative centers on Dong-kyu, a man whose occupation involves gathering evidence to protest the distribution of plastic bags. During an encounter at a take-away restaurant, he is confronted by an employee named Sinae, who strikes him on the head. Following the incident, Dong-kyu feigns amnesia. Sinae takes him to her home, leading to the formation of an unusual group dynamic involving five people.

Production and Release

The film was directed and written by Ahn Seul-Gi, who also served as a producer alongside Yu Sung-Kyun. It features cinematography by Kim Han-Sol. The film has a runtime of 80 minutes and was released in South Korea on November 25, 2005. It was later screened at the 1st Korean Film Festival in Paris in December 2006.
