Father Is Strange

Father Is Strange (Korean: 아버지가 이상해; RR: Abeojiga Isanghae) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from March 4 to August 27, 2017. The series, which consists of 52 episodes, was broadcast during the network's Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot.

Production

The drama was directed by Lee Jae-Sang and written by Lee Jung-Sun. The production process included a first script reading held in early January 2017. Initially, actress Kim So-Yeon was cast in the role of the eldest daughter, Hye-Young, but she withdrew from the project prior to the first script reading and the commencement of filming.

The series occupied the KBS2 weekend time slot following the conclusion of The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop. Upon its completion, it was succeeded by the drama My Golden Life on September 2, 2017.

Plot

The story centers on the family of Byun Han-Soo and Na Young-Sil, who live with their four children. Their lives are significantly altered when Ahn Joong-Hee, a former idol group member turned actor, arrives and begins living with them, claiming to be part of the family.
