Fated to Love You (2014 South Korean TV Series)

Fated to Love You (Korean: 운명처럼 널 사랑해; RR: Woonmyungcheoreom Neol Saranghae) is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC from July 2 to September 4, 2014. The drama, which consists of 20 episodes, was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 21:55 KST. It is a remake of the 2008 Taiwanese drama series of the same name.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Dong-Yoon and Kim Hee-Won, with a screenplay written by Joo Chan-Ok and Jo Jin-Kuk. The production held its first script reading on May 9, 2014, at the Ilsan MBC Dream Centre in South Korea. The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday time slot following the conclusion of A New Leaf and was succeeded by My Blooming Days.

At the 2014 MBC Drama Awards held on December 30, 2014, the series received several accolades, including Best Actor (mini-series) for Jang Hyuk, Best Actress (mini-series) for Jang Na-Ra, and the Best Couple Award for the lead pair. Jang Na-Ra also received the Popularity Actress Award.
