Family Register (Korean: 가족관계증명서; RR: Gajokgwangyejeungmyeongseo; literally translated as Family Relation Certificate) is a South Korean television drama series broadcast by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). Directed by Kim Mi-Sook and written by Park Ji-Hyun, the series premiered on July 6, 2026, airing in the Monday through Friday 19:05 to 19:40 time slot. It took over the network's time slot previously occupied by The First Man.
Plot Synopsis
The narrative centers on a woman who is stigmatized as a family destroyer from birth, yet struggles against social prejudice to reclaim control over her destiny. Na Ji-Ni, portrayed by Park Se-Young, is an aspiring artist majoring in Korean painting who harbors dreams of creating international K-animation. Although outwardly enjoying a comfortable life with her famous cellist mother, Na Se-Ri, and a production executive father, Na Ji-Ni conceals deep emotional wounds.
Meanwhile, Na Se-Ri has attained professional and personal success while privately harboring anxieties and secrets. Concurrently, No Young-Ju, played by Im Ji-Eun, trained in vocal music with ambitions of becoming a musical actor but now operates a singing class. Despite experiencing various hardships, she maintains an optimistic disposition and undergoes a personal transformation to embrace new perspectives on happiness.
