Plot

Captain Baek Sung-chan (Han Suk-kyu) is a seasoned police officer nearing retirement. His final days on the force are disrupted when a money transport van is robbed by criminals who impersonate him. Shortly thereafter, a massive quantity of gold is stolen on Jeju Island. Outraged by the audacity of the crimes, Baek vows to dismantle the criminal organization responsible.

The robberies are orchestrated by Ahn Hyun-min (Cha Seung-won), a criminal mastermind who has spent years planning his strategy. Ahn intentionally provokes the short-tempered Baek as part of a complex scheme. While Baek focuses on capturing Ahn, the criminal's true objective is to exact revenge against a rival in the underworld—a target that Baek also intends to arrest.
