Entourage (2016 South Korean TV Series)
Entourage is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the cable network tvN from November 4 to December 24, 2016. The series is a remake of the American HBO comedy-drama of the same name, which originally ran from 2004 to 2011. The South Korean production company acquired the rights to the series in 2015.
Plot
The series follows the life of Cha Young-bin, a rising actor in the South Korean entertainment industry. His career and personal life are managed by his close-knit group of friends, including his manager Lee Ho-jin, his cousin Cha Joon, and his friend known as Geobook. The group navigates the challenges of the industry under the guidance of Kim Eun-gab, the CEO of Young-bin's management agency.
Production
The production of Entourage involved a significant cast and crew. The first script reading was held on May 28, 2016, at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Principal photography commenced on June 1, 2016, at a club in Gangnam, Seoul, and concluded in late September 2016. Yim Si-wan was initially offered the lead role of Cha Young-bin but declined the offer.
