Emergency Declaration (2022 Film)

Emergency Declaration (Korean: 비상선언; RR: Bisangsuneon) is a 2022 South Korean disaster film directed by Han Jae-rim. The film follows the crew and passengers of an airplane who are forced to make an emergency declaration after a biological threat emerges mid-flight.

Production

Principal photography for the film took place from May 30, 2020, to October 24, 2020. The film was originally scheduled for a theatrical release in January 2022, but the date was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It eventually premiered in South Korea on August 3, 2022.

The film held its world premiere in the "Out of Competition" section of the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, which took place from July 6 to July 17, 2021.
