Ceremony and Categories

The ceremony is held annually in February. The awards are designed to honor producers who have demonstrated excellence in their field, as well as actors who have shown significant promise as "Rookies of the Year." Additional categories often include the TV Taro Award for best film and the TV Guide Award for best drama, alongside special awards for individuals or production teams that have made notable impacts on the industry.

History

Since its inception in 1956, the Elan d'Or Awards have served as a platform for the All Nippon Producers Association to acknowledge the collaborative nature of film and television production in Japan. By highlighting both established producers and rising stars, the organization aims to foster development and recognize high-quality storytelling in Japanese media.
