Duel (Korean: 듀얼) is a South Korean television series that aired on the OCN network in 2017. The science fiction thriller centers on a complex case involving human cloning and a detective caught in the middle of a struggle between clones.

Plot

The story follows Jang Deuk-cheon, a veteran crime squad chief who is devoted to his daughter. His life is upended when he encounters a human clone, leading him into a dangerous conspiracy. The narrative explores the conflict between different human clones, drawing the detective into a high-stakes battle for survival and truth.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Jong-jae and written by Kim Yoon-joo. The production held its first script reading on March 31, 2017, in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Duel premiered on June 3, 2017, and concluded on July 23, 2017, consisting of 16 episodes. It occupied the Saturday and Sunday 22:00 time slot on OCN, following the series Tunnel and preceding Save Me.
