Duck Town (Korean: 수성못; RR: Suseongmot) is a 2018 South Korean drama-comedy film written and directed by Yoo Ji-Young. The film explores the life of a young woman working at a paddle boat rental facility on Suseong Lake in Daegu, South Korea.
Plot
Hee-Jung (Lee Se-Young) is a determined student working at a paddle boat rental shop on Suseong Lake to save money for her college tuition. Her primary goal is to transfer to a university in Seoul. Her life becomes complicated after she falls asleep during her shift, leading to an accident at the lake. In an attempt to avoid accountability, she returns to the lake at night to plant a life jacket near the scene, only to be caught by a man named Young-Mok (Kim Hyun-Joon).
