Background and Plot

The narrative is set in Noryangjin, a district in Seoul, South Korea, known for its high concentration of private institutes catering to students preparing for civil service examinations. The series explores the lives of various individuals who choose to drink alcohol alone, highlighting their personal motivations and struggles. The central plot focuses on the professional and romantic relationship between Jin Jung-Suk, a popular but arrogant instructor, and Park Ha-Na, a rookie instructor navigating the competitive environment of the private education sector.

Production

The series was directed by Choi Kyoo-Sik with a script written by Myung Soo-Hyun. The initial script reading for the cast and crew took place on June 28, 2016, at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The show replaced Bring it on, Ghost in its time slot and was followed by the fifteenth season of Ugly Young-A.
