Dr. Brain (South Korean Television Series)
Dr. Brain (Korean: Dr.브레인) is a South Korean science fiction thriller television series that premiered on Apple TV+ on November 4, 2021. The series was directed by Kim Jee-woon and consists of six episodes. It is based on the webcomic of the same name by Writer Hong, which was serialized on Kakao starting in 2016.
Plot
The story follows Koh Se-won, a brilliant neuroscientist who experienced a traumatic childhood event when his mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident. Driven by this tragedy, he dedicates his life to the study of the brain. As an adult, he possesses an exceptional memory and works as a leading researcher in brain science. His life changes when he is approached to perform a "brain sync"—an experimental procedure to extract memories from the brain of a man who recently committed suicide. Following the procedure, Koh begins to experience strange behavioral changes and visions, leading him to investigate the truth behind the deceased man's case and his own past.
Production
The series is notable for being the first original Korean-language series produced for the Apple TV+ platform. It blends elements of psychological thriller and science fiction, focusing on the concept of memory retrieval and the ethical implications of neurotechnology.

Cast
