Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard (Korean: 좋거나 나쁜 동재) is a 2024 South Korean television drama series. It serves as a spin-off to the acclaimed legal thriller series Stranger (Bimilui Soop), focusing on the character of Seo Dong-Jae, portrayed by actor Lee Jun-Hyuk.

Plot
The story follows Seo Dong-Jae, a prosecutor working at the Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office. Known for his ambition and opportunistic nature, Dong-Jae struggles with a reputation for corruption, which threatens his career trajectory. While dealing with the fallout of a local redevelopment case, he becomes involved in the investigation of a high school student's murder. The series explores his internal conflict as he balances his professional instincts with his personal desire for success.
Production and Release
The series was directed by Park Gun-Ho, with a screenplay written by Hwang Ha-Jung and Kim Sang-Won. It consists of 10 episodes. The show premiered on TVING on October 10, 2024, and began airing on the cable network tvN on October 14, 2024. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 20:50 time slot on tvN, following the conclusion of No Gain No Love.
Cast
The series features Lee Jun-Hyuk reprising his role as Seo Dong-Jae. The supporting cast includes Park Sung-Woong as Nam Wan-Sung, along with various personnel from the Cheongju District Prosecutors’ Office and the Cheongju Police Station.
