Dongguk University

Dongguk University is a private research university located in South Korea. Established in 1906, it is recognized as one of the few Buddhist-affiliated universities in the world. While the institution maintains its Buddhist foundations, it operates as a comprehensive university open to students and faculty of all religious backgrounds and philosophical perspectives.

Campuses

The university operates two primary campuses in South Korea:

  • Seoul Campus: Located at 26, Pil-dong 3-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul.
  • Gyeongju Campus: Located at 707, Seokjang-dong, Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.

Notable Alumni

Dongguk University has a significant history of educating individuals who have pursued careers in the South Korean entertainment industry. Notable alumni include actors such as Han Suk-kyu, Jo In-seong, Lee Jung-jae, and Park Shin-yang, as well as actresses including Kim Hye-su, Han Hyo-ju, Shin Min-a, and Im Yoon-ah.
