Doctor Prisoner
Doctor Prisoner (Korean: 닥터 프리즈너) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from March 20 to May 15, 2019. The series, directed by Hwang In-Hyuk and Song Min-Yeop and written by Park Kye-Ok, follows the story of a skilled surgeon who finds himself embroiled in a medical malpractice incident, leading to his dismissal from his hospital and his subsequent employment as the chief of a prison medical clinic.
Production
The production held its first script reading in January 2019 at the KBS Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot on KBS2, succeeding Liver or Die and preceding Angel's Last Mission: Love.
During its broadcast, the series experienced a scheduling adjustment; episodes 27 and 28 were rescheduled from Thursday, May 2, 2019, to Wednesday, May 8, 2019. A summary episode covering the first 26 episodes was aired in the original time slot on May 2, 2019.
