DNA Lover

Plot

The story centers on Han So-Jin, a researcher at a gene center who is driven by the belief that she can identify her ideal romantic partner through genetic analysis. Her path crosses with Sim Yeon-Woo, an obstetrician and gynecologist who operates his own clinic. While Yeon-Woo is adept at attracting women, he maintains a pattern of ending relationships as soon as his partners become possessive or attempt to change his lifestyle. The narrative also features Seo Kang-Hoon, a firefighter who provides emotional support to So-Jin, and Jang Mi-Eun, a love columnist and former partner of Yeon-Woo.

Production

The series was directed by Sung Chi-Wook with a screenplay written by Jung Soo-Mi. It consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Saturday and Sunday nights at 21:10. The production marked a notable return to acting for Lee Tae-Hwan following his military discharge on December 26, 2023.
