Desperate Mr. X (Korean: 위기의 X; RR: Wigiui X) is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2022. The comedy-drama was released on the streaming platform Wavve, spanning six episodes between September 2 and September 9, 2022. The series was directed by Kim Jung-hoon and written by Kwak Kyung-yoon.
Plot
The narrative follows Yoon Dae-wook, a middle-aged man who once believed he was on a path to success after graduating from a prestigious university and securing a position at a large corporation. However, his life takes an unexpected turn, leaving him on the brink of bankruptcy. His wife, Kang Mi-jin, is an aspiring web novelist who provides emotional support while occasionally expressing frustration with their circumstances. Throughout his struggles, Dae-wook receives guidance from Heo Joon, a local clinic doctor known for his weary appearance but compassionate nature.
