Dear Sister (Japanese: ディア・シスター, Romaji: Dia Shisuta) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from October 16 to December 18, 2014. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in the Thursday 22:00–22:54 time slot. The production was directed by Ryo Tanaka and Munenori Sekino, with a screenplay written by Mayumi Nakatani.

Plot Synopsis

The story focuses on the relationship between two sisters, Misaki Fukazawa (played by Satomi Ishihara) and Hazuki Fukazawa (played by Nao Matsushita). During their youth, the sisters developed contrasting personalities; Misaki was known for her charm and social ease, while Hazuki was meticulous but struggled with social interactions. Hazuki harbored feelings of jealousy toward her younger sister, believing their mother favored Misaki.

After graduating from high school, Misaki left home, leading to a long period of estrangement. Years later, 29-year-old Hazuki is working at a local government office and planning to marry her boyfriend. Her life is interrupted when 27-year-old Misaki unexpectedly returns and moves in with her. Misaki arrives with a secret that she keeps hidden from those around her.
