Dear My Room (Korean: 은주의 방; RR: Eunjuui Bang) is a South Korean television series that aired on the Olive network from November 6, 2018, to January 22, 2019. The drama consists of 12 episodes and was directed by Jang Jung-Do and So Jae-Hyun.
Background and Development
The series is based on the webcomic Eunjuui Bang, created by Norangoomi, which was serialized on Naver Webtoon from August 9, 2013, to July 25, 2014. The television adaptation was written by Park Sang-Moon and Kim Hyun-Chul.
Plot
The story follows Shim Eun-Joo (played by Ryoo Hye-Young), a former editing designer who struggles with the pressures of her career and personal relationships. After experiencing burnout, she quits her job and faces a period of unemployment and depression. Her living situation deteriorates as her studio apartment falls into disrepair. Her life begins to shift when her friend, Seo Min-Seok (Kim Jae-Young), gifts her lighting equipment. This gesture sparks an interest in DIY interior design, which serves as a catalyst for Eun-Joo to restore both her living space and her personal well-being.
