Dead Man (2024 South Korean Film)

Dead Man is a South Korean crime thriller film released on February 7, 2024. The film was written and directed by Ha Joon-won and distributed by Plus M Entertainment. It explores the dangerous world of identity theft and financial crime.

Plot

The story follows Lee Man-jae (played by Cho Jin-woong), a man who earns a living by lending his identity to businesses as a figurehead. After agreeing to let a business use his name for a fee of 5 million won, he finds himself framed for the embezzlement of 100 billion won. Forced to fake his own death, he is eventually imprisoned in China. With the assistance of a political consultant named Mrs. Sim (Kim Hee-ae), he secures his release and returns to South Korea to uncover the truth behind his framing. During his investigation, he encounters Gong Hee-joo (Lee Soo-kyung), who is seeking the person responsible for her father's death.
